Books for Bonfire Night!

Hey Guys!

Considering November 5th is officially Bonfire Night, I thought I would do a post dedicated to ‘Books with a Bang’ therefore books you can curl up inside with whilst watching the fireworks or Books which offer a BANG – a shocking element. I figured it was best to do this a few days before so you can get your books at the ready!

A note from myself – A thoroughly engaging read to keep you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put this book down and finished it within a night.

A note from myself: The Cuckoo’s Calling was the first crime mystery novel I ever read and it was out-standing. You will think you know who the killer is on a number of occasions but this will constantly pull the rug from under you.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare – REVIEW HERE

A note from myself – I adored my first reading experience of Lady Midnight, there is a real expansive world and this book was filled with heartbreak, romance, mystery and action. Alongside this there is a real diversity to the characters which feature homosexuality and bisexuality.

November 9 by Colleen Hoover – REVIEW HERE 

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

A note from myself –
November 9 is a romance story with twists and turns, theirs a whole lot of drama and a love story that spans over years. It’s unique to say the least.

Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling 

Of course I had to throw this one in here, I adore the series and it always puts me in a christmassy/halloween type mood therefore perfect for a Bonfire Book read!

Harry Potter’s life is miserable. His parents are dead and he’s stuck with his heartless relatives, who force him to live in a tiny closet under the stairs. But his fortune changes when he receives a letter that tells him the truth about himself: he’s a wizard. A mysterious visitor rescues him from his relatives and takes him to his new home, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

After a lifetime of bottling up his magical powers, Harry finally feels like a normal kid. But even within the Wizarding community, he is special. He is the boy who lived: the only person to have ever survived a killing curse inflicted by the evil Lord Voldemort, who launched a brutal takeover of the Wizarding world, only to vanish after failing to kill Harry.

Though Harry’s first year at Hogwarts is the best of his life, not everything is perfect. There is a dangerous secret object hidden within the castle walls, and Harry believes it’s his responsibility to prevent it from falling into evil hands. But doing so will bring him into contact with forces more terrifying than he ever could have imagined.

Divergent by Veronica Roth – REVIEW HERE

A note from myself – Divergent is a perfect dystopian book to escape into a different place. It features kick ass heroines, romance and action there’s definitely alot to this book. I would 100% Recommend.
