This is my post to my fellow Scaredy-cats. As the countdown has officially started until Halloween and there is only 15 days until the trick and treating begins I wanted to do a post for those of you who are like me and may like Halloween but are easily scared, those who aren’t particularly a fan of horror or anything too scary. So here are some books which feature characters associated with Halloween.
Top Ten Tuesday is a Weekly meme set up by Broke and Bookish. I love to partake in this and see everyone’s top ten’s each week and you know I couldn’t miss the opportunity to shout out my love for some of my book boyfriends. I will fight you for them…
So here are my Top Ten Book Boyfriends, of course in no particular order because how would I choose?! Continue reading “Top TEN Book Boyfriends”
Today I wanted to do a post inspired by the lovely Izzi @ Ravenclaw Book Club.
The other day Izzi did a post on her University Reading List for her Second Year of University as she studies English Literature. You can find her post here.
Having studied English Literature at university myself I have always loved to see what other students are studying on their units and I actively try to find posts and videos on University Reading Haul’s quite often. I recently started my Masters in English Literature this week and after seeing Izzi’s post I decided I would love to do a post on the books which I am going to be studying this term. So I hope you don’t mind me stealing your idea Izzi!
So today I wanted to do a catch up on my reading challenge and year, inspired because of my birthday. I turned 23 today… Eeek I’m so old I know. Let’s pretend I’m only 18 please?
So I’m another year older (sadly) and I was thinking, how has my life changed since my last birthday? Well I got my Upper Second Class Bachelors Degree in English Literature, I got onto two masters courses with me starting one in English Studies next week and my blog reached 435 followers! Of course mixed in with all the good things, there has been some really tough times this year from deaths, to mental health issues etc but right now I’m sat writing this and thinking wow I am so lucky and I cannot believe how well my year has gone in reality. The friends I have made whilst blogging feel like friends I have known my whole life. Even though they live in Australia, France or even South Africa and me in United Kingdom it feels like we aren’t too far away. I owe this blog so much, it has helped me in so many ways and my love for reading and books has increased so much more. Continue reading “Birthday Post | Goodreads Challenge | Year Update |”
Bookstagram, Book Tube, Book Blogs – you name it I’m constantly stalking it and I always wonder about everyone’s book collections. A lot of people especially big booktubers seem to have what I would call the ‘Perfect Book Collection.’ By this I mean that it all seems to match, they have all hardback books which seem to be all perfect in size and fit perfectly together. I do like to imagine that it is only certain shelves, the ones on camera and then if you could see the other side you would have the shelves of the mismatched.

Happy September. I’m just flabbergasted (yes I just used that word) that we are already into the 9th month of the year? It is flying by. September though is my favourite month, because it is my birth month. September 16th and I will be another year older… Which I will not accept.
This month I feel really proud of myself with my reading and blogging. I feel like this is the most I have ever posted and read?!
Today I am coming at you with my August Book Haul!
Book Hauls are something I actually rarely post on here which is weird because I love buying books. Who doesn’t?
I definitely want to start posting what I buy more on here because I love reading other people’s latest buys or watching them on BookTube. So now to quit my rambling so we can get to the part you care about…
Today I am coming to you with a post on YA books which have recently had a cover change. The famous saying is penned ‘out with the old and in with the new’ and this month it definitely feels like the YA book universe is living up to the saying.
If you didn’t know recently Author Sabaa Tahir of ‘An Ember in the Ashes’ released that her well-loved book series would be getting a cover makeover. A decision met with very mixed responses, some hated the idea of their being a cover change mid way through the series whilst others applauded it.
Schools out for Summer! At least here in the UK it is, although you wouldn’t think summer was here with the constant rain were having. But whilst I’m wrapping up warm, some of you might be grabbing your suitcases, sunglasses and enjoying the heat. You know one thing that would make it better? A book!
So for this post I am going to be recommending you 10 fantasy/dystopian book series to pick up this summer. For me summer was always the perfect time to get into Fantasy books because my brain would only be focused on Work rather than Work and University. So I could lose myself in a world and commit myself to a series with 6 books without feeling guilty or pressured.
Today I’m going to be doing a Tag, something I don’t do very often. When i’m not reading, i’m binging movies,TV Shows or even YouTube so when I saw one of my favourite people Marie, her sister Nyx – @drizzleandhurricanebooks created an original tag regarding her favourite TV Shows I NEEDED to take part in it as well.
Be sure to check her original post out.
