Fairy Loot June Unboxing – Classic Twist

fairyloot.JPG

If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen I received my June FairyLoot box yesterday, I am incredibly excited about this because this is my first ever subscription box and I have heard amazing things on Booktube and Bookstagram.

The theme for June was ‘Classic Twist’ and the website said it was perfect for fans of Jane Austen, I myself struggle to get into Classics but I am a fan of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen plus it mentioned thinking of it along the lines of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. So of course I had to give it a go.

To find out what the June box held continue below, however if you have ordered the box for yourself and are yet to receive it you may want to skip this.

Firstly I want to mention some information about FairyLoot, FairyLoot is a British Company located in London and their company is a Young Adult Fiction Monthly subscription service. In the box, you receive one recently published Young Adult Fantasy Book and bookish goodies which each relate to the book’s theme. The FairyLoot box is also exclusively focused on Fantasy.

The cost of the box is: £26 + Shipping for a single month or they also have offers for 3 month or 6 month subscriptions.

I am incredibly impressed with the service of FairyLoot, as mentioned this was my first ever subscription box and I cannot be happier. Firstly everything related to the box has an incredibly unique sense of detail, the box itself has the company’s logo as well as a quote by Neil Gailman printed on the side. Then once you open the box you will find your book wrapped in Purple Tissue Paper, sealed with a FairyLoot sticker surrounded by white glittery and purple strings of paper which both serves to protect the goodies inside as well as a decoration. It feels like you are opening a gift as you go through the box.

I also received an email on Friday to let me know that my box had been shipped and by Monday the postman was knocking on my front door to pass me the box. That is incredibly fast shipping, of course I live in the UK myself so you could say well it doesn’t have far to travel, yet other than Amazon Prime I have never had a British Company get a package to me so fast. So big thumbs up to FairyLoot for their choose of mail carriers.

Without further a do here is what my June Box consisted of:

Fairyloot Unboxing 1

  • Hardcover copy of Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh (American Version)
  • William and Joseph Candle in the Scent ‘Bronte’s Secret’
  • Funko Pop – Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
  • House of Wonderland – Swallow Earrings
  • Set of 3 Literary Quote Bookmarks by Fable and Black
  • Pride and Prejudice Mini Watercolour Poster
  • Chapter 5 Proud to be Bookish Bracelet

On top of this, the book also comes with a letter from the author which is signed as well as a signed bookplate and a bookmark.

I absolutely adore this box and if you have followed me for a while or have seen me on instagram then you will understand my excitement that this box contained my first ever FUNKO POP!! I finally have one, I just want to scream with excitement every time I look at it, they are so cute. *Cue Funkopop obsession...As well as this everything in the box is of high quality and to put it simply its beautiful. The posters are each going to be going up on my wall very soon .

The July Box theme is Pirates and Power, however this is sadly sold out. I won’t be receiving that one but I plan on trying to get my hands on the August box which the newly released theme will be Dark Deeds. Which sounds absolutely amazing. This goes on sale on Friday 1st July at 12:00 British Standard Time.

If you want to be kept in the know for everything FairyLoot then I would suggest signing up for their Newsletter via their website because they keep you up to date with tons of information such as Themes. Also this is a small company as they are relatively new, so bare in mind that their boxes can sell out super fast and once they are sold out they won’t be able to put more boxes together, therefore to avoid disappointment check out their social media pages for further updates on release dates.

Let me know in the comments if you have purchased FairyLoot before or if you plan on getting it in the future.
