Emma Carstairs has finally avenged her parents. She thought she’d be at peace. But she is anything but calm. Torn between her desire for her parabatai Julian and her desire to protect him from the brutal consequences of parabatai relationships, she has begun dating his brother, Mark. But Mark has spent the past five years trapped in Faerie; can he ever truly be a Shadowhunter again?

And the faerie courts are not silent. The Unseelie King is tired of the Cold Peace, and will no longer concede to the Shadowhunters’ demands. Caught between the demands of faerie and the laws of the Clave, Emma, Julian, and Mark must find a way to come together to defend everything they hold dear—before it’s too late.

I need this book in my life so badly. I can’t wait to find out what is next for Emma and Julian, I loved Lady Midnight so much and devoured it.

Looming war threatens all Feyre holds dear in the third volume of the #1 New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses series.

Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit-and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords-and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

In this thrilling third book in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Sarah J. Maas, the earth will be painted red as mighty armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy them all.

I feel like I don’t even need to write anything for why I can’t wait for this. I fangirl over Feyre and Rhysand at least once a day. A Court of Mist and Fury ended on such a cliffhanger that I am dying to get my hands on this to see what happens next. I definitely want to try and reread the first two books before I get this one in my hands so I can freshen everything in my mind.

“Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transportation for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board and we can take you anywhere you want to go.”

When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it’s the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run – and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry’s tea leaves… But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss…

This is the same story of the original books, just in illustrated form like the previous Chamber of Secrets and Philosphers Stone. I have Philosophers stone and need to still get Chamber of Secrets but the artwork is so beautiful. Jim Kay is brilliant!

20th Anniversary Editions
J.K Rowling

June 1st 2017

Turning the envelope over, his hand trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding a large letter “H”.

Harry Potter has never heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry’s eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

An incredible adventure is about to begin!

This is the same story as the one that was released all those years back in 1997, it simply is the 20th Anniversary Edition! Crazy Right? I definitely want one of these if not both in my collection, they look so beautiful! There is one for each of the houses, if I had a library in my house like the Beasts (ultimate dream) I would get them all!

strange the dreamer

The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around— and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was five years old he’s been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the person of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance to lose his dream forever.

What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? What exactly did the Godslayer slay that went by the name of god? And what is the mysterious problem he now seeks help in solving?

The answers await in Weep, but so do more mysteries—including the blue-skinned goddess who appears in Lazlo’s dreams. How did he dream her before he knew she existed? and if all the gods are dead, why does she seem so real?

In this sweeping and breathtaking new novel by National Book Award finalist Laini Taylor, author of the New York Times bestselling Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, the shadow of the past is as real as the ghosts who haunt the citadel of murdered gods. Fall into a mythical world of dread and wonder, moths and nightmares, love and carnage.

Welcome to Weep.

Did the cover slightly draw me in? Maybe…
I’m sort of on the fence about this one, I’ve heard both great and bad things about it but I definitely would like to give it a go to see for myself. I still need to read Laini Taylors Daughter of Smoke and Bone series which is on my bookshelf awaiting me too!

Lara Jean is having the best senior year a girl could ever hope for. She is head over heels in love with her boyfriend, Peter; her dad’s finally getting remarried to their next door neighbor, Ms. Rothschild; and Margot’s coming home for the summer just in time for the wedding.

But change is looming on the horizon. And while Lara Jean is having fun and keeping busy helping plan her father’s wedding, she can’t ignore the big life decisions she has to make. Most pressingly, where she wants to go to college and what that means for her relationship with Peter. She watched her sister Margot go through these growing pains. Now Lara Jean’s the one who’ll be graduating high school and leaving for college and leaving her family—and possibly the boy she loves—behind.

When your heart and your head are saying two different things, which one should you listen to?

I feel like it’s been so long since I read the first two books and I can barely remember anything other than the big plot points… I definitely need to re-read the first two before this one comes out. I’m terribly excited though, I loved Lara Jean so I definitely want to see what book 3 has in store for her and Peter.

    1. Oo you definitely have patience! I left mine on my bookshelf for a month or more until I finally picked it up, it was more to do with the sheer size of it though. I was like ‘Oh gosh that might take a while’ but I devoured it! & I do the same thing whenever I have preordered a book! Thanks for reading and commenting 😀

  2. I am so excited to finally see what happens to Emma and Julian in “Lord of Shadows”. I practically devoured “Lady Midnight” and have been left wanting more ever since. I’m also very excited to read “A Court of Wings and Ruin”, especially since I want to see how Sarah J. Maas intends to continue the story. There is still so much left to happen!
And those beautiful Harry Potter 20th Anniversary editions are to die for. I am definitely purchasing a hardcover Hufflepuff one!

    1. The Harry potter new editions are definitely a must aren’t they! 🙂 I did too, it took me a little while to get myself ready for Lady Midnight though, it sat on my bookcase for a month because I saw how big it looked and that was daunting. I’m determined to go straight into Lord of Shadows. Definitely need to know about Emma and Julian!
Also like you say for A Court of Wings and Ruin, definitely so much that can happen. Am I remembering correctly that it’s been turned into a 6 book series?

      1. There is definitely six books in the series, but I cannot remember whether that meant a six book series or it meant a trilogy with three novellas. Hopefully it is a six book series!

      2. I hope it’s a six book series as well, i’m just going to pray it’s consistent throughout and not dragged out if you get me? I’d rather a bunch of different things happen like the few have been rather than one storyline just replayed 🙂

I hope that makes sense haha!

  3. Yay for ACOWAR and Strange the Dreamer! And of course HP and Jenny Han. On top of your list, I’m also dying for Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh, Roar by Cora Carmack, and The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo. So many good books coming out this year ❤️

  4. So many good books that are coming out this year 💕
I’m very excited for Strange The Dreamer along with the illustrated Harry Potter! I’d also die if I got my hands on that special edition of The Philosopher’s Stone.
