Not a Horror Fan? Halloween Inspired Reads

This is my post to my fellow Scaredy-cats. As the countdown has officially started until Halloween and there is only 15 days until the trick and treating begins I wanted to do a post for those of you who are like me and may like Halloween but are easily scared, those who aren’t particularly a fan of horror or anything too scary. So here are some books which feature characters associated with Halloween.

  1. I’ve been meaning to read The Coldest Girl in Coldtown and a Study in Charlotte, so this would be the perfect time to, but alas I need to save money haha. Great list though! 🙂 I haven’t read all of these but they all seem perfect for Halloween

  2. I love this, Hannah 🌸
I’ve always been interested in reading The Coldest Girl in Coldtown and A Study in Charlotte! I love your recommendation of The Raven Boys; I would’ve never thought of recommending it for a ghost. I’m just starting Blue Lily, Lily Blue and it’s such a great series!

    1. For The Raven Boys I was a little apprehensive about including it because I didn’t want to be a spoiler but then I figure at the beginning they also visit the graveyard don’t they! It works haha! I need to continue the series, I liked The Raven Boys but found it a little confusing I feel like I will enjoy the rest of the series more? xx

      1. The Raven Boys was definitely a bit confusing at first, but I absolutely loved it and it’s definitely one of my favourite reads of all time. I also liked The Dream Thieves, but I struggled a bit with Blue Lily, Lily Blue and I haven’t continued with the last book.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy the rest of the series more 🌸

  3. Ohhh, I love this post, Hannah! I don’t really care about Halloween, since it’s never been such a big thing in my country like it is in others. But I really don’t like being scared, I scare really easily ahah and horror books aren’t my favorite kind, that’s for sure. That being said, I always had The Coldest Girl in ColdTown on my TBR… maybe I should give it a try? 🙂 I LOVE The Raven Boys so much! I think, for Halloween, I would recommend the Mara Dyer series because..;well, it’s quite creepy at times ahah 🙂

    1. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown is an interesting read, I remember reading it after my Twilight and Morganville Vampires binge and found it rather different. I’m trying to stop myself from ordering the Mara Dyer series when my TBR pile is so high right now but you make me wanna pick it up now! xx

      1. Hahaha, well… I’m not going to make you order them. Just, casually remind them they exist and need to be on your list soon because THEY ARE SO GOOD. 😛
