What Book Generation are you?

As I make my return to book blogging, I thought it would be interesting to start a tag called ‘What book generation are you?’ There might be one like this already floating about but since I’ve been gone for a year I’m not familiar with any. The book community is one that changes constantly as their are always so many new books being released and new trends and I was thinking how it would be amazing to find out the book generation we each grew up on. For some it might be Harry Potter, Twilight or even A Court of Thorns and Roses (just to give examples).

Here are the sets of questions I chose and which I would love for you to answer if you would like to get involved too! Let’s begin shall we….

Managing Anxiety in the Covid-19 Outbreak

As you know, outside of this being a book blog, I also like to discuss Mental Health to try and help as many people as I can. In light of recent events, I thought now was a perfect time to try and help those of you who might be struggling.

Having Anxiety at the best of times is incredibly hard but during a pandemic as country after country declares national emergencies, newspapers are full of devastating stories and scary statistics and social media is filled with videos, its even harder.

There are numerous ways your mental health might be affected, and I truly believe this is a time that many people who have never dealt with mental health issues will come to understand what its like to a degree. Many people will suffer during these moments, many people will feel isolated and alone but please remember whilst we are in a dark and scary time, you are not alone. We are all in this together.

It can especially be hard for those who don’t have supportive family members as they will be on lock down with them for a long time. It can be daunting and particularly scary as no end seems in sight.

Here are some tips on how you can help manage your anxiety:

Let’s Chat – Was I a Reading Snob?

Well what a starter headline that is… am I right?

I’ve been in and out of blogging for what probably is about a year now.
I said I would do better and I never did, frankly life is CRAZY but I won’t bore you with the details of why I left again. What I will say is how my new job makes my brain somewhat broken, which is what left me to the discovery of how I was once a reading snob… which probably isn’t the right term for it really, but read on and you’ll hopefully understand what I mean.

April Wrap Up & Favourites

Hey Guys!

We are officially in May. It is May 4th tomorrow and let’s all gear up ready for the May the 4th be with you jokes… I’m so over them.
Each time I do a wrap up post, I always comment on how I can’t believe we are a month down and I just have to this time again because I can’t get over how time is going so fast. We are already on the 5th month in the year.

April was a weird month for me. I thought I was getting nothing done in terms of my blog because of deadlines and work but as I looked back to write this post I realized I actually did more than I thought so I guess it wasn’t so bad… I was rather MIA from my blog in April because like I said I had a bunch of deadlines and my next one is coming up soon as well actually. I also had to give a research paper at a conference through my university which was super stressful and scary but I did it! Yaaay.

Other than that, there’s nothing really new in my life to note to you guys… other than I got glasses! I have been struggling with migraines and headaches ALOT lately so I went to the opticians last week and need to wear glasses for when i’m on the computer, in lectures, reading at a distance sort of thing. It is super weird having them, I’m not used to them yet but they are helping and my headaches and migraines have reduced dramatically since.

Lets take a look at my month and then my favourites shall we?…

How Bookstagram Helped Me Fall Back In Love With Reading | Discussion

Hi Book lovers!

Today I wanted to come at you with a discussion type post on How Bookstagram Helped Me Fall Back In Love With Reading.
Skeptical and thinking how could Instagram help someone like reading more?! Well your like I was then and I didn’t expect it to work.
Me and reading have a tense relationship, I love it but it doesn’t always love me and I have SO many reading slumps and finding a way to come out of them is difficult. Sometimes it’s just a case of literally forcing my butt down on a chair and reading.

When I first started my blogging journey, I started an Instagram page as well and would post every so often just basic pictures of my books but I never took it too seriously. Then following Christmas for which I got money towards a new camera I decided to delete my old Instagram and start a new one and try to ‘bookstagram properly.’ Since then I have noticed a change in my reading habits and feelings towards reading for the positive.

Blogging and Reading 2018 Resolutions

Happy New Year fellow Book lovers!

I’ve been thinking lately how I don’t really set New Year’s Resolutions but this year something has been nagging at me to set them for my reading and blogging goals. The end of 2016 and start of 2017 were hard times and 2017 was a year of so many exciting things for me such as graduating from university. I hold a BA in English Literature now. I got accepted onto two masters programme’s and chose to do an MA in English Studies. My blog reached 500 followers, I started receiving Physical Arcs, I got invited to go down to London to an exhibition as part of a blogger/press thing. (I couldn’t go but the opportunity was still amazing)

But the year was also really hard, my anxiety gave me so many hurdles I had to try jump over. My dad, brother and sister all had health scares. We are losing another love one who is fighting a battle with cancer. 2018 will be another hard year but I’m pledging here and now that i’m also going to make sure it’s an amazing one.

So here are my 2018 Reading and Blogging specific goals:

Save to Stack Those Shelves | Free & Cheap Books

Hey Guys and Welcome Back!

Can you believe we are already in November? I can’t!
Time is going by so quickly and I believe the year will be over with a blink of an eye. But in the meantime I want to come at you with some Money Saving posts!

Like me i’m assuming your here because you love books? You probably have an addiction to buying books as well don’t you? Hey no judging I promise. I’m guilty for that addiction. Lately I have been seeing so many good deals across the internet for books and I took to twitter to ask if you would like to see a post on this and some of you said yes. So here we are.
Rather than do a giant post on all the deals I have found, I have decided I will be doing individual posts dedicated to that place so that it’s not a super long post. Considering it’s nearly Christmas I thought this would be another great addition to my blog as we could all use that little bit extra of a saving at Christmas right?

**Please note that obviously I am not sponsored by any of the sites which I am featuring**

Today I am coming to you with Amazon deals!

Book Collections – How Does Yours Look?

Bookstagram, Book Tube, Book Blogs – you name it I’m constantly stalking it and I always wonder about everyone’s book collections. A lot of people especially big booktubers seem to have what I would call the ‘Perfect Book Collection.’ By this I mean that it all seems to match, they have all hardback books which seem to be all perfect in size and fit perfectly together. I do like to imagine that it is only certain shelves, the ones on camera and then if you could see the other side you would have the shelves of the mismatched.

The Ultimate Dream Collections Right Here. (Pictures from Pinterest)
