How to become a successful blogger

What is the secret to becoming a successful blogger?

First you need to define what successful means to you. Everybody has a different idea of what success means, for some it means having blogging as their career, for others it is getting paid for their blogs or having a consistent schedule or it might just be to have a following.  Define what success means for you and then you’ll know when you reach that goal.

Let’s Chat – Was I a Reading Snob?

Well what a starter headline that is… am I right?

I’ve been in and out of blogging for what probably is about a year now.
I said I would do better and I never did, frankly life is CRAZY but I won’t bore you with the details of why I left again. What I will say is how my new job makes my brain somewhat broken, which is what left me to the discovery of how I was once a reading snob… which probably isn’t the right term for it really, but read on and you’ll hopefully understand what I mean.

Discussion: Feeling Lost in the Book Community

Hey Guys,

It’s been a week or so since my last post, I’m sorry about that. I had so many idea’s for Christmas gift guides and just christmassy posts but life has been hectic, between my masters degree and my job I feel like there is no time. Today I wanted to do a discussion post on something which has been niggling at me for a while and it’s feeling lost in the book community.

Save to Stack Those Shelves | Free & Cheap Books

Hey Guys and Welcome Back!

Can you believe we are already in November? I can’t!
Time is going by so quickly and I believe the year will be over with a blink of an eye. But in the meantime I want to come at you with some Money Saving posts!

Like me i’m assuming your here because you love books? You probably have an addiction to buying books as well don’t you? Hey no judging I promise. I’m guilty for that addiction. Lately I have been seeing so many good deals across the internet for books and I took to twitter to ask if you would like to see a post on this and some of you said yes. So here we are.
Rather than do a giant post on all the deals I have found, I have decided I will be doing individual posts dedicated to that place so that it’s not a super long post. Considering it’s nearly Christmas I thought this would be another great addition to my blog as we could all use that little bit extra of a saving at Christmas right?

**Please note that obviously I am not sponsored by any of the sites which I am featuring**

Today I am coming to you with Amazon deals!

Book Collections – How Does Yours Look?

Bookstagram, Book Tube, Book Blogs – you name it I’m constantly stalking it and I always wonder about everyone’s book collections. A lot of people especially big booktubers seem to have what I would call the ‘Perfect Book Collection.’ By this I mean that it all seems to match, they have all hardback books which seem to be all perfect in size and fit perfectly together. I do like to imagine that it is only certain shelves, the ones on camera and then if you could see the other side you would have the shelves of the mismatched.

Discussion – How Do You Rate?

Aloha Guys!

Today I am coming at you with another Discussion Post. You know I love to do these so I can find out each of your thoughts on the chosen topic. So today it is all about Rating Systems and how we rate books.

Lately I have been seeing topics like this all over social media. It’s something I’ve seen people express their opinions on for years but recently it has come a popular subject/issue. When I think about Rating Systems for the books we read, I think about how everyone’s is different. We all use 1-5 star ratings and sure we all think 1 is the worst right? 1 means the book wasn’t so good but 5? Well 5 is more subjective. A five-star rating means different things for different people.

Discussion; Hate towards YA.

Today I want to do a post on hate towards YA. Lately I have been seeing a lot of comments regarding Young Adult Literature and how it is an ‘awful’ demographic. Everybody is entitled to their opinions and their own reading preferences but there is a way to voice such opinions and attacking those online who do like YA books is not the way to go about it. It always makes me ponder the question why is there such a hate for YA books?

I myself have experienced numerous comments from people stating how I should be spending my time reading ‘proper literature’ and how as an English Graduate I should be reading classics all the time. Ah, Bronte, Austen, Fitzgerald. I have tried them all but now alongside their names will be the work of J.K Rowling, Suzanne Collins and more. An argument of mine which may be controversial but for me they are now pinned as classics especially in Young Adult Literature.
