What Book Generation are you?

As I make my return to book blogging, I thought it would be interesting to start a tag called ‘What book generation are you?’ There might be one like this already floating about but since I’ve been gone for a year I’m not familiar with any. The book community is one that changes constantly as their are always so many new books being released and new trends and I was thinking how it would be amazing to find out the book generation we each grew up on. For some it might be Harry Potter, Twilight or even A Court of Thorns and Roses (just to give examples).

Here are the sets of questions I chose and which I would love for you to answer if you would like to get involved too! Let’s begin shall we….

Top Ten Romance Reads

Romance reads are a huge love of mine. There is nothing better than a good romance book or even movie for that matter. I am probably in the 0.2% here but I have to have a little bit of romance in my fantasy and dystopian books as well otherwise I really struggle to get into them. That is something that not everybody loves and everybody has their own feelings about them, to me it just adds that little something more to the story.

I am always being asked by my friends to recommend a good romance to them so I decided it is about time I do a My Top Ten Romance Reads post for those wanting to find there next good love story!

April Wrap Up & Favourites

Hey Guys!

We are officially in May. It is May 4th tomorrow and let’s all gear up ready for the May the 4th be with you jokes… I’m so over them.
Each time I do a wrap up post, I always comment on how I can’t believe we are a month down and I just have to this time again because I can’t get over how time is going so fast. We are already on the 5th month in the year.

April was a weird month for me. I thought I was getting nothing done in terms of my blog because of deadlines and work but as I looked back to write this post I realized I actually did more than I thought so I guess it wasn’t so bad… I was rather MIA from my blog in April because like I said I had a bunch of deadlines and my next one is coming up soon as well actually. I also had to give a research paper at a conference through my university which was super stressful and scary but I did it! Yaaay.

Other than that, there’s nothing really new in my life to note to you guys… other than I got glasses! I have been struggling with migraines and headaches ALOT lately so I went to the opticians last week and need to wear glasses for when i’m on the computer, in lectures, reading at a distance sort of thing. It is super weird having them, I’m not used to them yet but they are helping and my headaches and migraines have reduced dramatically since.

Lets take a look at my month and then my favourites shall we?…

How Bookstagram Helped Me Fall Back In Love With Reading | Discussion

Hi Book lovers!

Today I wanted to come at you with a discussion type post on How Bookstagram Helped Me Fall Back In Love With Reading.
Skeptical and thinking how could Instagram help someone like reading more?! Well your like I was then and I didn’t expect it to work.
Me and reading have a tense relationship, I love it but it doesn’t always love me and I have SO many reading slumps and finding a way to come out of them is difficult. Sometimes it’s just a case of literally forcing my butt down on a chair and reading.

When I first started my blogging journey, I started an Instagram page as well and would post every so often just basic pictures of my books but I never took it too seriously. Then following Christmas for which I got money towards a new camera I decided to delete my old Instagram and start a new one and try to ‘bookstagram properly.’ Since then I have noticed a change in my reading habits and feelings towards reading for the positive.

January Wrap Up & Favourites!

Hey Book Lovers!

It’s officially the end of the month which means Wrap Up Time!
I’m not sure how I feel about January being over, the month seemed both to drag and go so fast at times. In terms of how I thought January went, I think the month went great for me. I had some bad moments with my anxiety but overall right now I feel happier.
I’m getting so much better on not pressuring myself in my university work, blogging and reading and I hope it continues.

Here’s what the month held for me…

Title: One Perfect Lie by Lisa Scottolineone perfect lie
Pages: 384
Genre: Crime/ Mystery
Publisher: St. Martins Press

Synopsis:

On paper, Chris Brennan looks perfect. He’s applying for a job as a high school government teacher, he’s ready to step in as an assistant baseball coach, and his references are impeccable.

But everything about Chris Brennan is a lie.

Susan Sematov is proud of her son Raz, a high school pitcher so athletically talented that he’s being recruited for a full-ride scholarship to a Division I college, with a future in major-league baseball. But Raz’s father died only a few months ago, leaving her son in a vulnerable place where any new father figure might influence him for good, or evil.

Heather Larkin is a struggling single mother who lives for her son Justin’s baseball games. But Justin is shy, and Heather fears he is being lured down a dark path by one of his teammates, a young man from an affluent family whose fun-loving manner might possibly conceal his violent plans.

Mindy Kostis succumbs to the pressure of being a surgeon’s wife by filling her days with social events and too many gin and tonics. But she doesn’t know that her husband and her son, Evan, are keeping secrets from her – secrets that might destroy all of them.

At the center of all of them is Chris Brennan. Why is he there? What does he want? And what is he willing to do to get it?

Where to buy cheap books?

Hey Guys!

Today I want to bring you a post about Book Shopping. Books are a luxury and  a privilege for many. We all know they can be so expensive so I wanted to do a post on websites I use for Book Shopping, hopefully I can help you get a good deal on your next book haul!

When buying books I tend to do a search of an array of websites before I click buy on one particular one. I always go where I can find it cheapest unless I have finished a book with a cliffhanger and need it the next day, in that case Amazon is my best friend for one-day delivery.

March Wrap Up | Magical Month.

Hey Guys!

We are officially in April. I’m going to be that cliché and say it… I can’t believe it. That means I am so close to finishing my final year of university. Ah that is terrifying. Just a few months to go.

Panicking aside from my general life, I am feeling pretty confident with how my blog is going. I am surpassing follower counts I never dreamed I would get and I’m getting organised scheduling my posts and getting them up without having a long hiatus!
