Top Ten Romance Reads

Romance reads are a huge love of mine. There is nothing better than a good romance book or even movie for that matter. I am probably in the 0.2% here but I have to have a little bit of romance in my fantasy and dystopian books as well otherwise I really struggle to get into them. That is something that not everybody loves and everybody has their own feelings about them, to me it just adds that little something more to the story.

I am always being asked by my friends to recommend a good romance to them so I decided it is about time I do a My Top Ten Romance Reads post for those wanting to find there next good love story!

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before
Jenny Han

The Netflix Movie was perfection and the book is also. The book and the movie have a few differences here and there but it still works and it is a must read for any romance lover.

Anna and the french Kiss.jpgAnna and the French Kiss
Stephanie Perkins

It has been so long since I have read this one but it is going to be getting picked up again very soon. American girl Anna is sent to boarding school in Paris… of course there is going to be a romance brewing in the city of love.

The Sea Breeze Series
Abbi Glines

Because of Low and Breathe are two examples from this series. Abbi Glines is such a fantastic romance author, her books always have an issue to be overcome or something that throws a spanner in the works of a budding love story so there is always tension throughout!

The Fill in Boyfriend | The Distance Between Us | On The Fence
Kasie West

I couldn’t name just the one Kasie West book because they are all such good lighthearted reads but these are the first three I tried of hers and I binged them one after another.

my life next door.jpg

My Life Next Door
Huntley Fitzpatrick

My Life Next Door is a book i’ve read once so far… it’s been years and I’ve never forgot it. The storyline is so interesting and it is more than just a romance.

e dealThe Deal
Elle Kennedy

I’ve lost count how many time’s I have read The Deal. It is sort of like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before in the sense of they are pretending dating but it is more a New Adult Style. Hannah and Garret are so cute and I am a sucker for those fake relationships turned love!

Ugly Love

Ugly Love
Colleen Hoover

Another book I have lost count of the time’s I have re-read. I am a major fan of Colleen Hoover’s writing but Ugly Love is my absolute favourite. Miles and Tate are an amazing couple and their relationship has so much depth, there are some real spanners thrown into their love story which make it a roller coaster. Not to mention a relationship with your brothers friend who just so happens to be his neighbour too?  uh oh..

The Truth About Forever |Along for the Ride | Lock & Key
Sarah Dessen

Like Abbi Glines I am actually practically recommending everything written by Sarah Dessen. All of her books are romances which are gripping and easy to get into. They are perfect all year round reads. (tbh what isn’t)

wait for youWait For You
Jennifer L. Armentrout

Wait For You is a new adult romance which is well paced and it fully immersed me. The whole series is one I enjoyed but it may not be for everyone as Wait For You does come with trigger warnings. If you are interested in finding out more please visit my blog review on it.

And now to throw my own spanner in the works…

me before you

Me Before You
JoJo Moyes

Me Before You is a book I have read once and it really hit me. I was a mess for days but it is so good and heartwarming. This one is more Adult Fiction but the romance story is compelling and complicated.

So there we have my top ten romance reads. All of them a mix of Young Adult, New Adult or Adult fiction so I hope there is something in here for everyone. I loved exploring some of my faves, I wonder if you would be interested in a Top Ten Romance Movies?

  1. Oh I love this post and your recommendations so much ❤ I also love a good romance in a book, I'm a marshmallow after all haha I can't be stopped ❤ I really loved To All The Boys, both the series and the movie -they did such a great job with that adaptation! I am impressed haha.
I also loved My Life Next Door, such a great read ❤ I have read just one book by Kasie West, The Distance Between Us, but I really want to read more from her. Same for Sarah Dessen's books, slowly making my way through them and loving every second of it. She is such a great writer 🙂 ❤
