April Wrap Up & Favourites

Hey Guys!

We are officially in May. It is May 4th tomorrow and let’s all gear up ready for the May the 4th be with you jokes… I’m so over them.
Each time I do a wrap up post, I always comment on how I can’t believe we are a month down and I just have to this time again because I can’t get over how time is going so fast. We are already on the 5th month in the year.

April was a weird month for me. I thought I was getting nothing done in terms of my blog because of deadlines and work but as I looked back to write this post I realized I actually did more than I thought so I guess it wasn’t so bad… I was rather MIA from my blog in April because like I said I had a bunch of deadlines and my next one is coming up soon as well actually. I also had to give a research paper at a conference through my university which was super stressful and scary but I did it! Yaaay.

Other than that, there’s nothing really new in my life to note to you guys… other than I got glasses! I have been struggling with migraines and headaches ALOT lately so I went to the opticians last week and need to wear glasses for when i’m on the computer, in lectures, reading at a distance sort of thing. It is super weird having them, I’m not used to them yet but they are helping and my headaches and migraines have reduced dramatically since.

Lets take a look at my month and then my favourites shall we?…

BOOKS READ

Sky In The Deep by Adrienne Young
Standalone

The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson
Finale in The Remnant Chronicles Trilogy

Fire Blood by Elly Blake
Book 2 following Frost Blood

So in April, I read 3 books which compared to some people’s 10’s and 12’s seems tiny but I am so surprised and low-key proud of myself for actually managing three. I really enjoyed all of these and I currently have one review up for Sky In The Deep by Adrienne Young but I will be putting  reviews up for the others!

posts uploaded

When I first was coming onto this section I thought, gosh it will be tiny as i’m sure I’ve only posted twice… Well it’s double it. I posted four times haha!
Here are the posts I did;

Most Popular Books on my TBR

Sky in the Deep Review
Blog Tour/ Spoiler Free Review for Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

Fairyloot Unboxing
March’s Memorable Moments Box

Wizarding World Unboxing

I tried to be as active as I can in April but I couldn’t be on as much as I would have liked so when I did come on I tried to catch up and binge read. I feel so guilty not having read and commented on more posts but here are some of my favourites I managed to read;

Marie @drizzleandhurricanebooks

Feeling Validation As A Book Blogger And Why It Matters
How To Master Your TBR Pile

These are two posts of Marie’s which I really loved to read. I mean I love to read everything she writes but Marie always offers great advice and I swear she’s like dumbledore for me because she always seems to post what I need to hear in that time.

Kat @lifeandotherdisasters

How I See Myself As A Fictional Character Tag

Kat is my go to girl to rant and chat to everyday but other than that she keeps me up to date on everything movie related. Be sure to go onto her blog and read her ‘Trailers You May Have Missed’ posts because she has introduced me to so many new things. But she posted a wonderful tag ‘How I See Myself as a Fictional Character’ which was so interesting to read! Her aesthetics are beautiful.

How Blogging Affects Our Reading Habits

In this post Kelly discusses ‘How Blogging Affects our Reading Habits’ and the ways it can. This was a really interesting discussion which really made me think about my experience with blogging and reading and how blogging has made my habits change.

Now don’t worry. I won’t keep you forever whilst I tell you my favourite EVERYTHING. Instead I am just including 2 sections… Film/TV and Music..

FILM

teen wolf.png

In April and now May I have been OBSESSED with Teen Wolf again. This has been my guilty pleasure to binge after a day of working on essays to help me unwind. I’m not sure how many time’s I’ve seen the show now but every time is like the first and I AM HOOKED.

My forever babies will always be Stiles and Lydia, they are my two favourite characters and their relationship is beautiful, funny and the chemistry between the two is outstanding.

MUSIC

I have been binge listening to two albums lately; one being Cardi B – Invasion of Privacy and Expectations by Hayley Kiyoko who was introduced to me by Michelle @thewritinghufflepuff I OWE HER so much for introducing me to Hayley’s music. I purchased the album immediately and I cannot stop listening to it.  I also love Cardi B, I find her so funny and one of my favourites from her album is ‘Thru the Phone’. The lyrics really speak to me especially the line which goes ‘you’re little group ass text where ya like to brag about ya hoes’YAAS GIRL. We all KNOW those lads and have seen whatsapp groups like that.

So there we have my April Wrap Up & Favourites. Let me know how your April was below in the comments!

  1. I can only agree on how fast time passes! It’s insane!!
And thanks so much for featuring my post, Hannah! You are the sweetest ❤
Also, a confession, I never finished watching Teen Wolf. I don't know which season was my breaking point, but I weirdly went from live-tweeting to forgetting its existence. I think I only have to watch the 6th/final season (?) but still .. I am not even that curious somehow.

    1. You know how much I suck with blogging lately so do I even need to apologise again? I DO. I’M SORRY. I get you, I forgot all about it then my obsessive stage for it came back and I had to binge it all. You’re a big TV show fan though so it might take a while until it comes back to Teen Wolf for you x

    1. Thank you Ashleigh. As you can tell by such a late comment I am not back to organised schedule yet with life. Just the one deadline now though… Dissertation in September! Eeek if you do a masters course after your undergrad then summer doesn’t exist haha!x
