June Wrap Up; Results, Graduation, Books and Thank yous.

Can you believe today is June 30th?! I swear I blinked and we just weren’t in May anymore.

life update

In term’s of my life, everything has been going OK during June. As you may know I suffer from Anxiety and I have had days I’ve really struggled especially considering I finished University and I’m struggling to think of where to go to next.

Speaking of University – I received my results for my final year yesterday and I will be graduating with a 2:1 (upper second class) degree in BA (Hons) English. For those who may not be familiar with the UK University System, the class systems go First Class, Upper Second Class, Lower Second Class then Third. So I’m so happy I received a 2:1, it’s what I wanted and expected. I also feel so proud of myself for making it through university, I very nearly dropped out when my anxiety got at it’s worse but I stuck with it and now here I am.  My official Graduation date is 18th July.

I also want to take a moment to say Thank you. Thank you to all my followers who stuck with me through my hiatus whilst I finished exams, dissertation and general final year stress. Thank you for following me, commenting, supporting me and showing me love.It means so so much and I cannot thank you enough.
Finally – Thank you to the many people I have met through blogging who have helped me throughout this year probably more than they realize with their supporting comments, words of wisdom, their own blog posts or their funny tweets which gave me a comedic break when things got tough.

Please be sure to check out their wonderful book blogs;

thank you girls for keeping my head up.

Now let’s go to the bits you really want to know…

what i read

This month was sort of a re-reading month for me. I read a total of 7 Books this month and 2 of them were first reads.

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – J.K Rowling – Review
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – J.K Rowling
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – J.K Rowling
  • Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone – J,K Rowling
  • A Court of Wings and Ruin – Sarah J.MAAS
  • A Court of Mist and Fury – Sarah J.MAAS
  • A Court of Thorns and Roses – SARAH J.MAAS

I really enjoyed my reading month. I had a very potter filled month which is exactly what I wanted considering Monday 26th June was the 20th Anniversary of The Philsophers Stone. I also re-read ACOTAR and ACOMAF so I could remember exactly what happened before starting ACOWAR. Rereading both of these was a great experience, I found I had forgotten so much so I really appreciated my descision to do a reread.
I have yet to write my review for ACOWAR but I did enjoy it, I loved being reunited with Feyre and Rhysand and their defintiely was a bunch of action in this book!

whats next

throne

You know me and TBR’S don’t mix well but I FINALLY decided to bite the bullet and read Throne of Glass by Sarah J.MAAS and so far I have to say it is nothing like I expected. I went in blind and I’m enjoying it so far!

Let me know in the comments how your June has been, what books you read and what your plans for July are. I love interacting with you all so let’s have a chat!

    1. I’m really enjoying Throne of Glass so far. I’m only less than 200 pages in but its nothing like I expected it to be. I’m loving the whole champions competition of it!
Thanks for checking out my post Charlotte 🙂

  1. Congratulations on the University, that’s such a huge accomplishment and it’s so great that you didn’t quit because of your anxiety.
My friend has the book ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, and quite frankly I’m just ready to go and steal that book from her because I’ve heard such good things about it!! 😊

  2. Congratulations, Hannah! I’m so happy for you and so proud of you – making it through university is something and you did it so well 🙂 About what’s coming next: I know how scary everything is, and I’m always here if you need to talk about it, or just need to change your mind and chat about anything else 🙂
You had indeed a very Potter month, but that’s AWESOME, isn’t it? I haven’t read the Fantastic Beasts book but maybe I will sometime 🙂

      1. Of course, always here for you ❤ ❤
Yeah you're right, it has to be a quick read for sure, and…Can I resist the Harry Potter world? I'm not sure 😛

  3. Congrats on graduating. A 2:1 is definitely something to be proud of. Trust me I know how hard it is to figure out where to go next, I graduated two years ago and still have no clue about what I want to do. Just take your time and something will turn up. 😀 I’ve been re-reading a lot more this year as well, although I’m still one of the few people that have yet to read a Harry Potter book haha. Have a lovely July. 😀

    1. Thank you so much Lois! It’s the whole thinking of what Job do I actually want to head into? I have my job now which I’m lucky I can stay at until I decide 🙂 Like a breath of fresh air hearing someone else felt and feels the same way! Oh wow really?! Do you think you will give them a go? I hope you have a lovely July too! 🙂

      1. I think a lot of people feel the same as we do and personally it doesn’t help when all your friends have that “life plan” sorted. I’m just taking my time and considering options without jumping into anything too fast.

I might give them a go. The film are on Saturdays now and every time they’re on I just get the feeling I should read them but never do haha.

      2. I agree 100% when your friends have all their plans in line it’s even more terrifying. Definitely good advice to try take your time and consider your options 🙂 I feel like time is going so fast?

  4. Congratulations on graduating! (And thank you for explaining what 2:1 means; I wouldn’t have understood otherwise, haha.) That’s a wonderful feat. I hope you decide to treat yourself to books after all your hard work.

And I’m so thrilled to hear that you enjoyed ACoWaR. My copy is still waiting to be read… but soon, I hope. XD

    1. Thank you so much Summer! I thought I best go ahead and explain what it means because I know in America they gave GPA’s which are numbers? I definitely do want to go ahead and treat myself to some books but i’m not sure which right now! 🙂
