Book Travelling Thursdays – Some Books Make Us Cry

Hey Guys,

Time for another Book Travelling Thursday, for those of you who aren’t familiar with this tag it was created by Catia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. Be sure to check out both their pages and to find out more information about this tag visit them on their Goodreads Group Page.

This week’s theme is ‘Some Books Make Us Cry’ – Choose a book which made you emotional. I was torn between a few books for this one but decided on Me Before You by JoJo Moyes as it was a book I read this year. To read my full review please follow this link; Me Before You Review.

Me Before You was one of my favourite reads this year, I found it both funny and incredibly heart-breaking. There are a ton of covers for this book so I decided not to include them all, or you would be reading FOREVER.

UK COVERS

Other Editions From Around The World

Top: Bulgarian, Czech, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish
Bottom: French, German, Indonesian, Movie Tie In, Polish

I own the beige UK cover myself, I like it but the red is my favourite. I love the brightness of that cover and the large type font, I think it really stands out.

In relation to the other covers, I like the Czech Republic one because it’s not far off from the UK Cover and I think the green element looks beautiful, but the Polish and Dutch covers are my least favourites because they feature book models on the front which is like a pet peeve for me. Can publishers just create covers without models on them please? I like to go in with a fresh mind with no influence on how I imagine the characters.

So there is this weeks Book Travelling Thursday, send me your links to your own BTT if you have participated this week and be sure to let me know What your favourite and least favourite cover is.

  1. Yes! I bawled my eyes out while reading this, my eyes were puffy the entire next day! I’m not usually a fan of people on covers, but the movie tie in is by far my favourite cover 😊
