Hey Guys!
I feel like I’ve been rather absent on my blog lately, my last post was on July 19th so I guess it wasn’t that long ago but I have been struggling to comment and read everyone’s blog posts lately. Why? Well my Laptop and Internet are playing a game of ‘Who can break the most often’, every time I attempt to catch up it lets me read a few and then it’s like TIME TO CRASH and its super frustrating.
BUT… I am finally coming back with a tag, thanks to the wonderful Catia over at @thegirlwhoreadtoomuch, be sure to check out her page for her answers to the questions she received as well as just for general bookish greatness. Without further ado let me introduce you to my post and answers to the questions Catia created for me for the Sibling (Sisterhood) of the World Bloggers Award.
The Rules:
Thank blogger who nominated you, linking back to their blog

What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was really little I always wanted to be a Hairdresser and i’m not really sure as to why but as time progressed I found that my main goal was just to be successful. I’ve always just wanted a good job and a big house, I want to buy a house with a library. I’m sure we all have that dream right?
What’s the song you’re constantly listening to?
Lately I have Clean Bandit ft Louisa Johnson – Tears on repeat, her voice is amazing and I love the song.
You’re stranded on an island. Which 3 things would you take with you?
I’m one of those annoying people that can’t just answer a simple question and I have to over think it because i’m wondering do I have access to water to fish or do I have food because if not I obviously need food, is it hot or cold? I’M SO AWKWARD, IM SORRY.
I’m going to avoid necessities and just go with what I would want with me;
- Tent – I’m absolutely no good with bugs and I also figure, shelter for the sun, shelter for the rain etc
- Chocolate – I will always need chocolate in my life.
- Book – Maybe like an anthology type of thing with numerous books in them so I can mix it up a little bit when i’m bored.
If I was thinking of necessities then I would say a Knife as well because then protection but also imagine how long your hair would get if you were stranded on an island, you’re definitely going to want to cut it. I could not be doing with that Rapunzel vibe, also i’m really clumsy so I would trip myself up all the time!
If you could go anywhere on the planet, where would you want to go?
NEW YORK – concrete jungle where dreams are made off…
p.s let me know if that song ends up stuck in your head..
Are you a dog person or a cat person?
DOG 100%, I had a West Highland White Terrier up until 2 years ago when my boy sadly died. He was 15 going on 16 years old, I still walk into my house and expect him to run towards me.
If you could go hang out with 2-3 characters for a day, where would you go (fictional), what would you do and why would you do it?
Catia this is like Sophies Choice for me but I’m going to go with;
- Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)
- Rhysand (A Court Of Thorns and Roses)
- Jace Herondale (The Mortal Instruments)
I of course had to go for each of my book boyfriends, sorry Hermione but I think I would want to go to Hogwarts so we can experience the magic and also Diagon Alley.
Name 3-5 fabulous people you met because of blogging
I haven’t met anybody personally (yet, maybe one day!) but I have had the pleasure of interacting with a lot of wonderful people such as:
Catia – thegirlwhoreadtoomuch
Reg – @thebibliotheque
Kat – @theimpossiblegirlblog
Lauren @wonderlessreviews
Gretchen @chicnerdreads
Did you have a book that meant a lot to you as a child?
Not really, i’m the only reader in my family other than my Sister but I force her to read now so growing up I only had books which I read at school or my nan used to read me old Disney Books so for this I’m actually going to say Twilight by Stephanie Meyer which I read when I was a teenager.
I’m choosing this because the Twilight series was the series which kicked off my love for reading and I had a moment in my life where I was fully obsessed and would have to read the book before bed in order to sleep. I was rereading them over and over and I was finally experiencing a book series which completely enthralled me so although I wasn’t really a child it is definitely a book which meant and still does mean a lot to me.
What book were you “forced” to read in highschool but ended up loving?
Oh gosh the dreaded school picks, I was forced to read The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald in Sixth form and up until that moment I absolutely hated classics but my English teacher was a young man and he pretty much convinced me into loving this.
It was also a major plus when they hired Leonardo DiCaprio on the film.
A book you keep recommending you everyone you meet?
Lately I have been telling everybody and their families to read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J.Maas. Also I often tell everybody to pick up anything by Colleen Hoover.
My Questions:
1) Favourite Classic Book?
2) Favourite Ship?
3) What TV Shows do you like to watch?
4) Are you a Youtube Fan? What are some channels that you watch?
5) What are 3 books you are hoping to read this year?
6) What job would you like to do when you finish school or what is your career goal?
7) Do you prefer books set in your home country or in a different currently? For example I live in England but love to read contemporaries set in America!
8) If you could have been a part of any film what would it be?
9) Name one author you would love to meet and discuss books with.
10) Would you ever consider writing a book yourself, if so what genre would you think you would write for?

The song did get stuck in my head…! Noooooo!
I was forced to read The Great Gatsby for university, but I did not have the good young man as a teacher, so I hated it, and I still hate it. I’m sure the right teacher would have helped me enjoy it better, haha!

haha yaaay, glad I got it stuck in someone elses head. He actually was the one who inspired me to do English Literature at university, some of my past english teachers were awful and simply just said do this whereas he made the experience come to life and also the passion he had for it really showed. Without him I definitely would of never picked it up 🙂

That is so cool!! I read a little bit when I was in elementary school, but it wasn’t until I read Twilight the summer before entering high school that I fell in love with reading. It really jump started my love of books, especially young adult
P.S. I love Ron Weasley so much!!!
