Considering tomorrow is February 14th therefore Valentines Day, I figured I would dedicate a post to my top 10 OTP [one true pairings], however to make this post a little different I figured I would  ‘mix up’ my list a little bit so rather than only being focused on my favourite Young Adult Book Couples it would include both books and TV Shows. Now that doesn’t seem like too hard a task now does it? Well considering i’m a  complete movie and TV addict and I get so emotionally invested into couples/shows it actually proved rather difficult… but without further ado, here are my Top 10 picks for One True Pairings…

1| Jace Herondale and Clary Fairchild

The Mortal Instruments – Cassandra Clare

Choosing my number 1 spot for OTP was easy because i’m a die hard Clace fan.

Jace and Clary  have always been my favourite couple from any book fandom but I was also a big fan of the coupling from the movie and now the TV Show. Choosing them was easy  but choosing Clary’s last name for this post was hard. Fray, Fairchild and Morgenstern? Boy does that girl have some last names…

2|   Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger

Harry Potter Series – JK. Rowling

Aw Ron and Hermione.

I’m the Harry Potter fan that did it backwards… I watched the Movies before finally reading the books which I am still yet to finish [i’m terrible, I know] but I loved Hermione and Ron’s relationship and how Rupert and Emma worked so well together to bring such chemistry even from the first film.

3|  Jackson Avery and April Kepner

Greys Anatomy

Just thinking of Jackson and April makes me want to cry, why Shonda are you throwing words like Divorce at us? NO.

I have been such a big fan of April and Jackson from their first scenes in Greys Anatomy, their the couple I first search for in the new episodes wanting to find out what happens next to them. Season 11 was heart breaking; I really hope theirs some hope for them in Season 12. I wouldn’t cope if they were split up indefinitely.

4|    Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen

The Hunger Games – Suzanne Collins

Peeta and Katniss Forever, I was never a fan of Gale. He actually annoyed me as a prospect of Katniss’ love interest, I much preferred him just as her best-friend. It just never seemed right with me, whereas I was rooting for Peeta throughout the books and in turn the films.

5|Dimitri Belikov and Rose Hathaway

The Vampire Academy – Richelle Mead

This OTP is more for the book than the film whilst I did enjoy the movie, I found myself more in love with the relationship of Rose and Dimitri in the book. I wasn’t 100% keen on the actor who portrayed Dimitri in the movie, he didn’t really fit the image I had in my head.

6|  Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf

Gossip Girl

The couple of all couples, Blair and Chuck are just… there are no words to describe them. Blair teaches Chuck how to love and it’s beautiful.

I miss Gossip Girl so much. 

7| Stefan Salvatore and Elena Gilbert

The Vampire Diaries

Now this one may shock you because like Twilight we have the two teams; Team Stefan or Team Damon and in all honesty I have always been Team Stefan. I’m not saying I haven’t loved the relationship of ‘Delena’ shown in the later seasons of The Vampire Diaries because I have and it has broken my heart but I have always prefered Stefan and Elena together. Seasons 1 and 2 of The Vampire Diaries will always be my favourite, when Elena was a human and it showed her relationship with Stefan.

I actually haven’t watched any of The Vampire Diaries since Elena’s ‘death’, I’m not entirely sure what to call it but since Nina Dobrev left I just can’t bring myself to watch it. She was such a huge part of the show for me that I can’t imagine what it is like without her.

8| William Herondale and Tessa Gray

The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare

Can we all just take a moment to applaud Cassandra Clare on her writing ability and thank her for bringing us not only Jace and Clary but Will and Tessa too. I was rooting for Will throughout the books, I wasn’t very keen on Tessa’s relationship with Jem. Like The Hunger Games with Gale, it just didn’t work for me. Maybe it’s because I was rooting for Will so much…

9|Leonard Hofstadter and Penny

The Big Bang Theory

I’m not sure if I have ever mentioned it before but I am a HUGE fan of The Big Bang Theory and I have always rooted for Penny and Leonard. I hated the time he was with Priya or Penny with Zack or any guy really because they are truly meant to be.

As you can see the title does not include Penny’s last name and that’s because we don’t actually know it. Like Prince, Cher and Madonna, Penny is just Penny…

 

10| Four and Tris

Divergent – Veronica Roth

Be still my beating heart…

This OTP is also off the Movie adaptation for Divergent because I also haven’t got around to reading the trilogy by Veronica Roth. It’s literally sat on my book shelf and I’m not sure why I haven’t actually picked it up yet… Should I hurry up and bite the bullet and get it read?
